Mayhem band is a highly influential Black metal band from Norway. TNBM - True Norwegian Black Metal. Founded in 1984 by Øystein Aarseth (Euronymous), Kjetil Manheim and Jørn Stubberud (Necrobutcher). The band is notorious for the shotgun suicide of singer Per Yngve Ohlin, the murder of Aarseth by Varg Vikernes, and Norway church arsons for which Vikernes was convicted. Vikernes went on to start the band Burzum. There are a few documentaries about Mayhem and its past/present members.
