About using the Dart Awl vs our other tool: Many people prefer a Dart Awl over the Dual Blade Awl when working with a jacket or apparel. With the application of studs onto Leather or Vegan Leather, the hole size is kept to a minimum. This makes the hole on the leather small when applying the studs. When working with denim, you can use this to pry apart the weaving in the cloth material when making a hole for spikes or badges.
